Lead Campus Minister Job Description

Qualifications: 

  • Follower of Jesus

  • Demonstrates a passion for ministering to college students

  • Actively involved in the local church

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)

  • Previous ministry experience lay or professional

  • Demonstrates a healthy development of relationships and boundaries

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the local Campus Ministry staff team

  • Reports Directly to the Executive Director

  • Oversee the execution of all campus ministry activity at the local campus location

  • Develop with the local Campus Ministry staff team & student leaders measurable annual objectives

  • Develop an effective team that plans and aligns with the stated annual objectives

  • Invest in local Campus Ministry staff members towards achieving professional development goals

  • Perform annual local Campus Minister staff evaluations and progress meetings and reports

  • Develop and fundraise raise 100% of personal and agreed upon ministry budgets

  • Grow deep and meaningful relationships with students discipling them in the ways of Jesus

  • Give full-time presence to the local campus ministry, student leaders, and staff team

  • Participate in annual statewide retreats

  • Participate in statewide staff meetings

  • Participate in weekly coaching calls

  • Can explain why Jesus is relevant and compelling to college students

  • Self-starter who is able to serve the local campus, student leaders and staff team

  • Aligns with global His House ministry vision

  • Develops and drives a compelling vision of ministry to local staff team and student leaders

  • Communicates regularly and efficiently within all spheres of responsibility

  • Serves as a servant leader acting as a team player

  • Humble and teachable willing to learn and grow as a campus minister

  • Listens well and provides wise counsel

  • Organized, proactive, and thoughtful

  • Engages in conflict directly with grace and love
